Where To GO! - by Brian McElhiney, The Bulletin

About seven years ago, former construction worker Ted Engstrom, having fallen on hard times, opened up Sunday Guitars on Third Street in what used to be Moore Music.

Engstrom initially stocked the store with a handful of his own guitars and from there, it grew. Today Sunday Guitars is a full-service music store that sells acoustic and electric guitars and basses, banjos, mandolins, keyboards and more — “Everything from kazoos to tubas,” as Engstrom puts it. The store also handles most instrument setups and repairs in-house, as well as offering instrument lessons and rentals. What’s more, the employees are all local, working musicians themselves — it doesn’t get much more knowledgeable than that. The combination of quality stock and service helped put Sunday Guitars over the top in our poll.
